A summer morning at Yaquina Head. It was a beautiful morning where we got to explore the tide flats below, on apparently the lowest tide of the year. Never saw so much star fish before. Unfortunately, I don't know that I got a great picture from down there since the flats were in the shadows of the cliff side. Whats also unique with this place is Cobble Beach. You really need to hear it during high tide, amazing natural wonder. Just above it all, the lighthouse. I didn't think I was going to get great light since the gates opened at 8 AM (sunrose at 6:15ish), but I like how it turned out.
Next time, I'll try to get down here earlier in the season, all the wildflowers and grasses have turned golden brown. Makes for a good contrast to the sky though.
Seattle area based photographer that loves what the great outdoors has to offer.
