Artist's Description
Akaka falls is normally a calm, thin veil of water dropping down 422 feet. Flood levels this week due to some heavy rain have caused it to almost raging. If I had to guess, its probably three times wider than normal here. Heavy rains have also created some secondary falls along the cliff edges. This view only really captures about 70% of the total height. You use to be able to get closer to the edge and see the base but they have created a much more secure view point now. Regardless, it's still a great stop along the belt road.
